RAETIHI SALE Freeman R. Jackson and Co. Ltd., held, their fortnightly stock sale at Raetihi on Friday when they offered to a good attendance of buyers 1000 sheep and several pens of cattle. Throughout the sale bidding was brisk, hoggets being in good demand, selling on par with recent sales. PEDIGREE STOCK SALE Last Wednesday at Mr H. M. Gripps farm, Raetihi, Wright Stephenson and Co. in conjunction with Abraham and Wi liams Ltd., offered to a goad; attendance of buyers, including many from outside, the whole of his “Mokau” Jersey stud, which met with keen competition, the whole offering being quitted. The top price was for a Jersey heifer in calf, 28 guineas, while a Jersey yearling bull fetched 18 guineas. FRIDAY’S FEILDING SALE Levin and Co. Ltd., report on Friday’s Feilding sa'e as follows: There was a good yanking of all classes of stock, consisting mainly of fat sheep and store hoggets. Fats were in good demand and sold well at late quotations. Wether hoggets soldi well, showing a good advance on late “sales. There was a good yarding of dairy stock, though not up to the quantity of late sales. Springing heifers were in good; demand and showed a jump in. prices shown in the last month. A big yarding of fats sold readily at prices equal to outside rates. Messrs Auraham and Williams. Ltd. report having yarded a medium entry of fat and store sheep and a goad entry of cattle at Feilding.
