A BRILLIANT SCENE
KING WELCOMED BY HIGHLANDERS [ United Service. J LONDON, Sept. 14. Thirty thousand Highlanders acclaimed, the King at the vast natural amphitheatre at the opening of the Bra«miar Games. The King wore a Balmoral bonnet, kilt, and hunting Stuart tartan, with a plaid thrown over his shoulder. The Queen and the Duke and Duchess of A ork, and also Sir Rudyard Kipling, who is the guest of the King, were present. Ba moral Highlanders, the King’s men, with their Lochaher axes gleaming in the sun as they lay aslant their broad shoulders, led the parade, sounding the pibroch of Donald Dhu on rhe bagpipes that ancient song of the hills which in old times summoned the clansmen to council.
