Legislator’s Son to See Life
Peter, the sixteen-year-okl son of Sir Burton Chadwick, AI.P., deputymaster of the Honourable Company of Alaster Mariners, and late Parliamentary Secretaiy to the Board of Trade, is travelling steerage as an emigrant to Canada. He is bound for a farm at Richmond, Quebec, where l.e will work as a farmhand. Sir Burton’s own parents made him sail before the mast in a “windjammer,” and it is his boast that this made a man of him. He wants his son to have an experience of “roughing it” also.
