SALACIOUS MOVING PICTURE* OUTSPOKEN CRITICISM [ Per Press Association. J HAMILTON, Sept. 14. The growing evil ol salacious moving pictures was mentioned by Mrs Denton Leech, of Dunedin, speaking here on the Pan-Pacific Women’s Conference. She said that the matter was discussed at the conference at HonoluluThere seemed to be no check on the censorship of films depicting the sordid side of life, presenting an entirely distorted aspect of modern civilisation. “I have no patience with those adults who shift the burden on to the teachers in order to free hcmselvee of obligations,” she concluded. “It ie the men and women of the present generation who should be actively fighting against this despoliation of the nation’s moral fabric.”
