TOM HEENEY SAVES PARTNER FROM DROWNING
HEROIC N.Z. BOXER [ Australian Prasa Assn. ] FAIIvHAVEN (N.J.), June 28. Tom Heeney, who is training for hit bout with Gene Tunney for the world heavyweight championship, saved hit sparring partner, Phil. Mercurio, from .drowning when their canoe upset a* the river. Heeney carried his partner, who could not swim a stroke, to the shore and then swam out and retrieved the canoe.
