THE GRAND

That “Up in Mabel’s Room” starring Mavis Prevost and featuring Harrison Ford an»d Phyllis Haver, is an admirable tonic for the blues, was demonstrated conclusively when Al. Christie’s comedy was shown yesterday at the Grand Theatre. The house fairly shook with, -laughter at times and great satisfaction was voiced by all who saw the picture. It is a gay, frothy, frolicsome farce, story of which revolves about Mabel, a divorcee, and a* black autographed chcmiZ-*, which had been given her by her former husband. A dozen or more persons arc envolvcd in subsequent .developments and when they all gather up in Mabel’s room, the fun becomes furious. No .lover of clean screen entertainment can afford to miss this highly engaging comedy. Its delightful from start to finish. Supporting this picture, William Boyd and. Beatrice Joy in 1 i Eve’s Leaves,” is another feature picture of land and sea, with an oriental setting with plenty of humour to make a very interesting and ing picture. “Snookums” in a very clever comedy completes a first class entertainment. This programme will be screened again to-day, to-night, tomorrow afternoon and evening. On Saturday next Laura La Plante is coming in her latest comedy, ‘ 1 Silk Stockings.” Patrons are reminded to boos early for Saturday evening to be sure of good seats.
