MONEY WAS MOTIVE FOR DOUBLE MURDER
DETECTIVES HANDICAPPED IN MARRICKVILLE CASE [ Australian Press Assn. ] SYDNEY, July 4. Detectives searching the confectionery shop where the double murder was committed during the week-end unearthed money hidden in many parts of the building, chiefly in erev ices. They also ascertained that the dead women had bank deposits amounting to £2300, bufcone bank book is missing. A neighbour informed the police that Mrs Falvey told him some time ago that a certain person owed her money. They had a dispute over it. The detectives are handi-apped b; the faet that nobody saw the crim* committed ®r detected the number o*. the murderer’s motor-cycle, but it is believed that he is acquainted with the locality.
