oceanographic investigations in an attempt to solve a number of Pacific problems. particularly the migration of eels. The leader. Dr. Johannes Schmidt, formerly carried on marine researches, specialising in eels. The expedition will work for two rears mainlv on the coast of Australia. New Zealand, China and Japan.
