DIVORCE GRANTED
THE CHRISTIE CASE LORD MERRIVALE S COMMENT Received April 22, 9 p.m. (A. & N.Z./ LONDON, April 20. Mrs Agatha Christie, whose disappearance and loss of memory in 1926, caused such a sensation, was granted a divorce from her husband on the ground of misconduct. Lord Merrivale commented: “When a gallant gentleman frequents hotels with an unnamed woman in order to secure release from a marriage he dislikes, the Judge has no other course but to grant a divorce.”
