PREPARING TO LEAVE. MAY r HOP OFF ON SUNDAY. (A. & N-Z.) OTTAWA, April 19. A message states Fraulein Hc.ta Junkers has confirmed the statement that the Bremen may leave Greenly in Sunday. In a telephone message to the Junkers Company at New York, she stated that her conversation with Major Fitzmaurice had convinced her that the Bremen could be put in shape W'ith the equipment now on the wav. She herself is planning to return to New York to take part in the fliers’ welcome.

Meantime a reception seldom pan! leled awaits the fliers when they reach Washington, which is possibly on April 26. President Coolidge will receive them at the White House shortly after their arrival, and the ’plane will be met on its way from New York by a squadron of army aeroplanes. A message of appreciation from President von Hindenburg and Air McNeill thanking Air Coolidge for the congratulations on the success of the flight have been made public. President von Hindenburg said: “I present my sincere thanks to you a.n.l the American people for the very cordial congratulations for the successful flight of the Bremen."

Air McNeill said: “I appreciate your kind message to the Irish people of the splendid achievement of Commandant Fitzmaurice and his German comrades. Alav their heroism prove of lasting service to humanity, and by completing the aerial conquest of the Atlantic lead to even closer relations between our countries."
