CANADIAN PROBLEM SOUND POLICY NECESSARY (A. & N.Z.) OTTAWA, April 19. “In the development of a sane immigration policy we must spend more money and secure co-ordination of effort," Sir Henry Thornton told the
Parliamentary Immigration Committee on Thursday. He preferred a maximum of British settlers.
Mr C. H. Gahan (Conservative) advocated the Australian National Commission system for handling immigration.
Mr Thornton believed that this would be the solution.
