If changing, or vice versa a cover from regular size to oversize the tube should also bp changed. Before fitting a new tube examine the lock nut at the base of the valve and tighten it if necessary. Rims should be kept free from rust and painted when necessary. Bent rims should be straightened. The inside of the cover should be kept clear from dirt and grit of any kind. Valve caps and dust caps should always bp kept well tightened.
