THE WENDY HUT

OUR CHILDREN’S CORNER

My Dear Children,- — Again, I have great news for you. You will all know "Murray Moon,” of Sanson. Well, he has sent along a Jumbled Sentence, which he desires me to publish as a competition. The Wendyite who is successful in constructing the sentence correctly, will receive a Postal Note for half-a-crown. “Murray Moon” is donating the prize, and I have it here awaiting an owner. Now, my dears, I know you all love a competition, so put on your best thinking-caps, and try very hard. The closing date will be Wednesday, April 28, 1928. Solutions reaching me later than Wednesday evening will not be eligible, so post your letters in plenty of time. I wish to thank “Jumbo,” of Hunterville, for sending me a cigarette card album, full of cards, for some poor little child. Can you imagine the happiness that this thoughtful gift will bring to the heart of some little girl or boy? Some little girl or boy who may have pictured in dreams of one day possessing such a treasure. Thus may a dream be made to come true by the generous and kindly action of our Wendy Hut Reader, “Jumbo.” I want you all, my dears, to particularly read the Notice Board this week because there is a great deal on it that I want you all to see. With love from, WENDY.
