FIRE IN SHED [ Special "Chronicle” Service. ] Shortly after six o’clock on Tuesday evening a motor car which was housed in a shed at the rear of Messrs Howarth and Harris’ general store at the corner of Egmont and Bedford streets, unexpectedly burst into flames, possibly the result of an overheated engine. The fire had attained dangerous proportions when discovered and by the time the brigade arrived the store and attached dwelling were threatened. The prompt action of the brigade was responsible for the outbreak being suppressed with little damage to the building, but Air Harris, one of the proprietors ff the store, had his hands and arms severely burned in attempting to push the burning car into the roadway and was taken to the hospital to have his injuries attended, to. The body of the car was completely destroyed. ________
