FAILURE OF SCHEME GLASGOW FACTORY TO CLOSH. LONDON, March 18. In spite of t.ho Government’s purnhaso of 2000 houses, tho scheme of Lord Weir, Limited, Glasgow, for the (mass production of steel houses, which ;t. was thought would he suitable in tie Dominions, as well as for housing now estates, .has collapsed. The factory at Glasgow will be closed after three months’ futile effort to popularise the scheme in the face of opposition from local authorities and lot labour difficulties.
