TRAFFIC SIGNAL
A MECHANICAL REGULATOR A LEEDS INVENTION A Leeds engineer has invented a mechanical traffic regulator which he claims will reduce the number of point, duty policemen. It is shaped something like an ordinary signpost, and has four arms.
On the top is a clock face, which shows the drivers how m>ny more seconds the road will remain open to them, and the principle of the invention is that the arms move round automatically.
When the instrument is once set at say, 20 seconds, the arms move round and remain motionless for that periodThe arms bear the word “Pass” and “Stop” in bold letters-
