After a smart round trip of only 11 days f 18 hours, the steamer Iron Crown arrived | hack at Wellington on Thursday afternoon , from Newcastle with 5,406 tons of coal for j the Railway Department. The vessel left ■ Newcastle at 9.20 p.m. on Friday, and for ■ the first three days had fine weather. Light and moderate south-easterly winds and seas then prevailed, and on entering Cook Strait a considerable swell was encountered. The Iron Crown will leave Wellington on Tuesday on the return trip to Newcastle. NIAGARA NEARING VANCOUVER. The Royal Mail liner Niagara was due at Vancouver yesterday and she is to sail next Wednesday on her return voyage to New Zealand and Australia. The vessel is scheduled to return to Auckland on April 23 and to sail the same day for Sydney. TOFU A AT SUVA. The Union Company's island steamer Tcfua arrived at Suva at noon on Thursday en route from Auckland to Tonga and Samoa. She is due back at Auckland on April 16. CARGO FROM SOUTH AUSTRALIA. The Union Company has received advice that the Kaitangata was to leave Adelaide Thursday for Edithburg and Melbourne to complete loading for Auckland. The vessel was to clear Edithburg yesterday and Melbourne about next Monday. She is due nt Auckland about April 9. PHOSPHATES FROM OCEAN ISLAND. Henderson and Macfarlane, Ltd., have received advice that the steamer Kintyre was dispatched from Ocean Island on March 19 with phosphates for Auckland and Wanganui. The vessel will unload 4,500 tons at Auckland ar.d 2,750 tons at Wanganui. She is expected to reach Auckland at the end of KIA ORA REPORTS. The Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Kia Ora has reported by wireless that she will reach Auckland from Liverpool this afternoon. The vessel has general merchandise from West Coast ports of Great Britain for discharge at Auckland, Wellington. Lyttelton and Dunedin. Cargo for Auckland will | be unloaded to the agency of A. S.
