INCREASE IN SHIPMENTS FIGURES FOR THE SEASOW [ Special ’’Chronicle" Service. ] WELLINGTON, March 29. Latest returns supplied by the New Zealand Meat Producers' Board give the following increase in the shipments of frozen meat from the Dominion to March 15, compared with the corresponding period of last year: Beef, 59,944 quarters; lamb, 231,400 carcases; pork, 7,582 carcases. There was a decrease of 52,117 carcases of mutton.

The total shipments of frozen moat from October 1, 1927, to March 15, 1928, were as follows:

The destinations of the shipments were:—

The total shipments for the corresponding period last season were:— Beef, 16,766 quarters; mutton, 718,546 carcases; lamb, 1,084,965 carcases; pork, 47,227 carcases. The total killing of stock for export at all Dominion works during the present season to March 15 were as follows, the figures for the corresponding period of last season being given for comparison:—Beef, 107,162 quarters (25,325); wether mutton, 831,311 carcases (860,654); ewe mutton, 479,775 carcases (440,457); lamb, 3,626,313 carcases (3,250,564); pork (porkers), 88,680 carcases (35,233); pork (baconers), 26,972 carcases (24,036); boneless beef, 128,286 freight carcases (74,763); sundries, 28,411 freight carcases (19,259).
