THE WELLINGTON SALE. Wright Stevenson and Co. Ltd. report:—Small supplies were forward at this week's Wellington sale, bidding being exceptionally keen from a full attendance of buyers, and prices showing an advance last sale of Id per lb. all round. It is our opinion that wo will see a shortage of skins this season and that very satisfactory prices will be ruling later on in the season. Fortnightly sales will be held from now onwards. We quote:—
Summer weevily 224 d to 26Jd, first weevily, to 431 d, summer broken 24d to 254 d, autumn broken, to 38jd, runners and suckers 26Jd to 33d, summers 29Jd to 35|d, light racks 43d to 43£d, prime, racks 434 d to 45d, dawny ; autumns 49-Jd to 534 d, winter bucks I 69j{d to 76{d, winter does, to IOOd, outgoing, to 58d, springs 42d to 44d, milky 26d to 26jd, fawns 56£d to sSsd, summer black 35jd to 37jjd, autumn black 44$d to 48d. hareskins 46JJ to 48Jd, horsehair 22d to 22fd.
