AN INDIGNANT DENIAL
SOVIET ASSERTS INNOCENCE NO ARMS FOR CHINA (A. & N.z.) LONDON, March 28. The British United Press Moscow correspondent states that, protesting that she never did and never intends to intraduce arms into China, the Soviet declined Japan’s invitation to sign the Peking Convention of 1919. prohibiting the export of arms into China.
The Soviet also repudiates the charge that Soviet officials ill-treated Chinese but the newspaper Investia simultaneously records that several hundred Chinese have been either arrested or deported from. Soviet territory on charges of smuggling or speculating in Soviet currency.
