RANGITIKEI GOLF CLUB m (Special "Chronicle” Service. J The first ladies’ foursomes of the season was held on Wednesday afternoon in ideal weather. Mrs McKenzie and Mrs Mackay scored rather an easy victory, returning a card of 103—34 09. The runners-up were Mrs Goodall and Miss Brookie with 109—30—79 and were closely followed by Mrs MeDonell and Mrs Bullard 100—20—80 and Miss Bailey and Miss Goodall 116 —36 —80. The ,L.G.U. Silver and bronze medal competitions begin on April 11,

The Rangitikei 1.0.0. F. Lodge will hold a euchre party in their hall this evening at 8 p..m If there is sufficient inducement from the outside public these euchre parties will be held fortnightly.

A dance in aid' of the Ohakea Rifle Club will be held in the Ohakea Hall on Tuesday (>ening. A harvest festival service will be held in the Presbyterian Church on Sunday. RUGBY Great interest is being taken in Saturday’s practice game on the local Domain between teams representing the Alarton and Bulls clubs. Alenibers of the Bulls teams and intending members arc asked to be on the ground at 2 p.m. The strength of the Bulls senior and junior grades is hard to forecast but there are many young players in the district and thosv wishing to join up should lose no time in r. ** ifying the honorary secretary, Air D. DOROTHY MACKAILL IN CONVOY” Lovers of mystery, interwoven with romance, intrigue, pathos and comedy will be well catered for at the Bulls Town Hall on .Saturday next, when “Convoy,” a First National Picture will open for a night’s season. “Convoy” is recorded as a story, that is different for the reason that an entirely new role is struck in the solving of the mystery, tho working out ot the plots and counter plots, and the ultimate round-up of the gangs of spies and crooks. Dorothy Alackaill and William Collier have the featured roles in this production.
