WIN FOR LECKIE AUSTRALIAN WITHDRAWS AFTER TEN ROUNDS. [ Per Press Association. J NAPIER, March 28. Johnnie Leckie, the New Zealand rhampion. gained a decision over TedUr Green. Australian bantam champion. here to-night, in a bout scheduled 10 go 15 rounds, the Australian retiring in the tenth round. At the end of the tenth Green intimate 1 to the referee that he did not wish to continue the light, his contention being that Leckie was too strong. Green complained of soreness on (he front of the head, caused apparently through a collision with Leckie’s chin in about the eighth round, and a medical examination showed that be suffered from slight concussion. Had this not occurred he would have continued the fight. The New Zealander early established a lead, which Green reduced somewhat in the ninth and tenth rounds, past which he failed to go. As far as it lasted, the tight was an excellent one. Green displayed a splendid knowledge of rinjeraft. Leckie, however. wore his man down and inflicted
