A period of two weeks’ political violence is foreseen in Chicago as the result of the bombing and .partial destruction of theh homes of United States Senortor Dineen and Judge Swanson.
The city is prepared for outbreaks until the primary elections are held on April 10. No arrests have been made, but armed guards are posted in and about the homes of all officials. Reports from Washington indicate that they arc concerned about the position, but the Federal authorities are said to have no power to interfere in the State primary elections. A police investigation is under way and large rewards are offered for the arrrest of the bombers. Senator Dineen’s house was bombed following his attendance at the funeral of “Dandy Joe” Esposito, a murdered gangster.
