In the final of the Polo Handicap Cup, Banks Peninsula (handicap 20) beat Wairarapa (handicap 13) by 25 gnais to 18. The young Banks Peninsula team showed dash in the early chukkas, and added three goals to their handicap before Wairarapa found their feet. Afterwards the Wairarapa men improved, showing individual flashes of brilliance, but they were alwavs weak in defence and the Peninsula men wen* much superior in team work.
