RECORDS BROKEN
STOCK EXCHANGE SALES WALL STREET ACTIVITY. (A. & N.Z.) NEW YORK, March 26. The Stock Exchange again broke all records with total sales of 4,248,500 shares, surpassing the record of March 13. Speculators sent an enormous week-end accumulation of buying orders into the market, whirling the prices of several leaders into high levels. General Motors again led the procession with more than half a million shares, that stock alone changing hands within five hours, and selling for a new high level of 200 dollars per share at the height of the trading. Shortly before the close practically the whole market followed an upward trend.
