NEW STATION
AUCKLAND RAILWAY CENTRE tenders under consideration [ Special “Chronicle” Service. ] WELLINGTON, March 27. The tenders for the erection of the new Auckland Railway Station are now under consideration and the Railway Department will be making recommendations to Cabinet at an early date. In company with the architects, Messrs Gummer and Ford, who are visiting Wellington for the. purpose, Mr F. C. Widdop, (Chief Engineer to the Department), is examining the tenders and going into matters of detail. It is expected that the contract will be arranged within a fortnight.
