MORRIS COWLEY WINS GOLD MEDAL IN SEARCHING TEST The trial of the Otago Motor Club from Dunedin to Ranfurly and back via Middlemarch, proved to be one of the most str. nuous of its kind ever held in New Zealand, the conditions being most vile with hail, snow and driving wind, while the roads were rough, steep and deep in mud. The winner of the Gold Medal, E. Howiison’s Morris Cowley 12 li.P. Tourer, was driven by Harold Burrows, who did not ose a mark. Considering that tlie Morris was the smallest car entered and in competition with much larger and nc ninally more powerful foreign cars, the result is a triumph for English cars and Morris in particular; for it proves tha even the smallest Morris car can go anywhere under any cc iditions, better than the larger engined, heavier, foreign cars.
