COLLIE CLUB [ Special “Chronicle” Service. ] The final meeting of the Moawhango Collie Club before the annual trials was held at Aloawhango on Saturday evening. Air F. Cottrell presided over a goai attendance.

The many gifts from the club’s supporters in the way of trophies and cash were thankfully received.

The internal working of the club was brought in for discussion and it was finally decided that the staff’s personnel bo increased to cope W’ith the

heavy work that was ahead of them. There will bo a heavy list of local performers this year and coupled with the great number of outside competitors the work of the meeting is necessarily of a strenuous nature. The collie club’s dance which is one of the most popular nights of the season, will be held; on the night of tho final day of the trials, Friday. A dance committee was formed, consisting of Messrs H. Hakopa, R. Alcßory and C. .Logan; door-keepers, Alessrs A. AfcConachie and G. McDougall. The trial grounds are in tip-top condition and as a fairly big crowd is expected: and it was thought advisable to make improvements.
