In addition to the air speed record, the Air Ministry is officially attempting a long-distance non-stop flight and duration records, for which a special Napier engined machine is being completed. 1 It is expected that the aeroplane will be able to remain in the anr over 60 hours, and will be capable of a 5000 miles’ non-stop flight. The Daily Express says that FlightLieutenant Worsley will be the pilot in the speed attempt, six weeks hence, and adds that a new machine will be flown in the next Sneider Cup race. It is further stream-lined and is capable of a speed of over six miles a minute.
