UNEMPLOYED LABOUR HELPED. COPENHAGEN, March 4. A move is now developing here for providing useful and rational school teaching for unemployed labour. .Several provincial towns, Elsinore, Esbjer S, Roskilde ami the Technological Institute in Copenhagen started this work some little time ago, an*J, now the Copenhagen municipality have also taken up the matter. They have also placed a schoolhouse, at the disposal of the enterprise, and the program has been sanctioned by the State and the Copenhagen and Frcdcriksberg municipalities.

There is a morning and an afternoon session, each extending over five weeks, and each comprising an hour’s

instruction daily, in architecture and bookkeeping, an hour in caligraphy, orthography and Danish, and an hour in expert training. The teachers are well-known masters and officials and engineers, and eminent men have taken upon themselves the management and control. The movement, is being embraced with much interest both by the authorities and officiating masters, and by the men who have responded in largo numbers.
