MOMENTARY MUSINGS

Spectacular courage, is a fine thing to watch; an inspiring ami stimulating thing while it lasts. But. the strangest force of valiu,nt, example is the courage which persists, as it were, behind the scenes; unapplauded and unsung. A courage of which the greater part is patience. Patient waiting for the clouds to break: patient holding on when all the battalions of Fate scent mustered against the struggling soul; patient pursuit of duties that have lost their savour, when ill-health menaces body or mind. The "world is full of such humble heroism. And to the enduring example of courage such as this, rather than to the dramatic gallantries of tire and flood and epie disaster, must be attributed the grand sum total of indivdual human endeavour in the face of Life’s -wholly uuroniantie and most irksome odds.

According to reports received Aladame Alenere is meeting with quite a furore in the South Island, where her new shipment, of furs in the very latest modes is selling very rapidly. Madame Menere will be commencing her North Island tour at an early date.
