YESTERDAY’S EEILDING SALE. [ Per press Association. 1 FEILDING, March 23. At the Eeilding stock sale to-day about 5,000 sheep were yarded, being mainly good conditioned lambs, with a good entry of breeding ewes, and a fair number of fat sheep. Breeding ewes of any quality were in strong demand, and sold well iu advance of late rates. Fat b.f. lambs made 21s to 22s 4d; fat ewes 18s 9(1 to 24s 9d; fat wethers 23s to 30s; good b.f. rape lambs 17s to 18s; small m.s. shorn lambs 12s to 15s; good w.f. wether lambs 17s to 18s 6d; fair ewe lambs 22s 4d; medium 2-tooth ewes 30s 4d; good 2-tooth ewes 37s 3d; 6-tooth and 4-year ewes 31s Id; good 4 and 5-year ewes 27s 6d, fair 22s 9d; good 2-tooth wethers 25s lOd. The yarding of cattle was of better quality than usual, and for good lines bidding was brisk, especially for youngdairy stock showing condition. Inferior quality cattle were not wanted, and were mainly passed in. Jersey weaner heifers (good) made £3 2s to £4 17s 6d; inferior 20s to 30s; yearlingsteers and store cows £2 19s (id to £4 13s; big rough 5-ycar S.H. bullocks £lO 7s 6d; run cows and calves £4 17s :6d; fat cows £4 15s to £lO ss; fat bullocks £lO 4s; boner bulls £2 15s to £B. JOHNSONVILLE SALE. Messrs Abraham aud Williams, Ltdand Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., report as follows on the Johnsonville sale held on Wednesday:—There was a very good quality yarding of both wethers and ewes, which met with very spirited bidding, prices being considerably better than the previous week. A medium quality of lambs also sold freoly. A very poor quality yarding of bullocks and cows sold fairly well, considering quality. Vealers sold freely. We quote; —Bullocks, £9 2s 6d to £ll 10s; cows, £6 10s to £7 7s 6d; vealers, 20s -to £3 18s 6d; wethers, 28s 9d to 29s 9d; ewes, 22s 6d to 25s 8d; lambs. 22s to 27s 6d.
