LOCAL AGENTS’ ADVICE. Messrs Millward and Co. advise: The Calm is due at Wanganui to-day via all southern ports. The Storm loaded at Lyttelton yesterday, and is expected at Wanganui on 27th inst. from southern ports ports and Picton. to-night for Sydney via Nelson and GreyI mouth. The Gale and Breeze are at present on their way south. The Cowden Law is due at Wanganui about the end of April from Galveston, Texas, via Auckland, Lyttelton and New Plymouth. Messrs Holm and Co. advise:— The John loaded at Wellington yesterday; due here to-morrow; sails for New Plymouth. The Holmdale loaded at Lyttelton yesterday ; Wellington to-day; Picton Monday; due here Tuesday. Messrs Johnston and Co. report:— The Hauturu leaves Onehunga March 29 ; due here March 31. The Kapuni is due from Wellington to-day. GENERAL NEWS. THE PORT ADELAIDE. The Commonwealth and Dominion Line steamer Port Adelaide which arrived at Auckland yesterday from London via Wellington. is to unload egneral merchandise to the agency of the Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company. From Auckland the vessel will go to New Plymouth to complete discharge and also to commence loading for her homeward veyage. Her other loading ports are Wanganui, Gisborne and Wellington. She is scheduled to leave Wellington for London on April 20. DREDGING AT AUCKLAND. The Auckland Harbour Board notifies mariners that a pipe gantry has been erected on the western side of the new Western Reclamation, off Freeman's Bay. This gantry commences at a position on the western retaining wall of the reclamation, 1,005 ft from the north-west corner of the old reclamation and extends for a distance 500 ft on a bearing 259 degrees. The suction dredger will be working to the west and south-west from the end of the gantry and all vessels entering St. Mary’s Bay must pass to the westward oi the suction dredge. ITINERARY OF HERMINIUS. , A further alteration in the loading movements of the Herminius is now announced by the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company. ; The vessel will leave Wanganui roadstead for Bluff, Port Chalmers, and Wellington. The ' Herminius is due at Wellington on April 2, and wil Isail from here on April 5 for Lon- ' don, Avonmouth, Glasgow, and Liverpool. BULK OIL FO KNEW ZEALAND. I The Standard Oil Company’s tanker Lubrico sailed from Honolulu on Monday- en route from San Pedro with bulk oil for New Zealand. MAUI POMARE SAILED. The New Zealand Government’s new motor ship Maui Pomare sailed from Southampton on Tuesday for Auckland, via Samoa. She is due at Auckland at the beginning of May. TONGARIRO REPORTED. Reported to have reached Colon last Monday the New Zealand Shipping Company’s steamer Tongariro is en route from Liverpool to Auckland, Wellington. Lyttelton, Timaru and Dunedin. She is scheduled to reach Auckland on April 9. O. A. KNUDSEN LEAVES SAN PEDRO Cabled news has been received that the tanker O. A. Knudsen cleared San Pedro on Tuesday morning for Wellington. The vessel brings a cargo of fuel oil for discharge into the Union Company’s tanks at Miramar, and is due there on April 14. PORT CAROLINE AT NORFOLK. The Commonwealth and Dominion Line steamer Port Caroline, which is en route from New Zealand to London, is reported to have reached Norfolk, Virginia, last Monday.
