ANNUAL MEETING WESLEY CLUB OPENS « PREPARATIONS. The annual general meeting of the Wesley hockey club was held on Tuesday evening last. The election of officers .for the ensuing season was as follows: Patron, W. G. Bassett, Esq.; president, Rev. E, T. Cox; vice presidents. Rev. Olphert, Alessrs Spurdle. Buxton, Duffell, Harris, Barber, Webb-Jones, Griffiths, and Bates; secretary. Air W. H. Hartnell; treasurer, Mr E. Whalley; crub captain, W. Thrush; coach, Rev. H. Goring; selectors, Rev. H. Goring and Mr Thrush; executive committee, Revs. Cox and Goring, Alessrs Thrush, Whalley and Hartnell; auditor, Mr H. West; delegates to Association meetings, Rev. Goring, Alessrs West n nd Hartnell. Shield Competition. It was decided to enter two teams for this competition to be held on June 4 at Wanganui. Two caps are to be presented to most improved players; one in each team. It was decided that practice matches commence on April, 14, and that subscriptions remain as last year.
