JEWELS STOLEN

_ A BRUTAL MURDER MOTOR BANDITS IN FRANCE (A. & N.Z.) PARIS, Feb. 29. A man murdered at Meluen has been identified as a young traveller, Gaston Truyheue, who had been missing for two days. He was in possession of jewels ano precious stones worth £5OOO. His head was horribly battered, presumably by motor bandits, who tied the body up in a petrol soaked sack to which they get fire. The clue was supplied by a butcher boy who saw a motor car discarding blood stained tins.
