THE MAJESTIC.

All the personality and ability of Gloria Swauson as an actress makes ‘‘The Love of Sunya” her first United Artists picture, which is now at the Majestic Theatre, the outstanding cinematic success of the year. Gloria wears many beautiful and lavish costumes in this film, but standing out above everything is her inspired and scintillating acting. She has five intensely dramtic characterisations and she interprets each of them with such force and effect that no doubt is left j in the opinion of numerous critics that she is the greatest actress on the screen I to-day. “The Love of Sunya” is a | story of conflicting love and ambition, fraught with mysticisms of the Seers of ancient Egypt. It is far different from the usual story presented on the screen and this in itself should attract many persons to the Majestic. Miss Swansou is supported by a strong cast, including several faces new to the screen. The star, with Albert Parker, her director, has produced a master- • piece and no one should miss seeing it. “My Lady of Whims,” an entirely interesting new Arrow picture, is the • supporting feature. Clara Bow Las th* ■ leading role. She does absolutely the I best work of her career. We say this ' with a full knowledge of the very j great success she scored iu such pictures as “Down to the Sea in Ships,” “Black Oxen,” “Capital Punish-I me nt, ” and “The Primrose Path.” She paints a vivid and appealing portrait in this picture which will be long remembered. Donald Keith heads her supporting cast, which also includes Carmelita Geraghty, Lee Moran and ; Francis McDonald. The story—originally called “Protecting Prudence”— was written by Edgar Franklin.
