ALSACE LORRAINE
HOME RULE MOVEMENT GERMANY BEHIND ANTI-FRENCH AGITATION (A. & N.Z.) PARIS, Nov. 13. The French Ministry has for some time closely watched the activities of the home rule movements in AlsaceLorraine, which is mainly advocated by the German newspapers in Strasburg. The movement is alleged to be supported by German money. The Government at the week-end decreed: the suppressing of three papers —the VoLkstimme, which in a threecolumn article on Friday contended that the return of Alsace-Lorraine to France was based on an historical error; the Zukunft, which insisted that the province ought to be independent and outside of France; and the Wahrheit, which declared that Alsace was now a French penal colony and said: “We should like to see France disappear from the earth."
