SEAFIELD CLUB OFFICIAI. CLOSE OF SEASON. DAYLIGHT SAVING AND SUMMER GOLF. The official close of the Seafield Golf Club took place last Saturday afternoon, when mixed foursomes were played over nine holes. After a dainty afternoon tea had been partaken of, the vice-president, Mr C. G. Young, in the unavoidable absence of the president, Mr R. G.. McNiven, presented the trophies won during the season. Mr Young, in a happy speech, congratulated tho various winners and also gave a brief review of the season’s activities, mentioning the good work performed by the ground superintendent, Mr T. H. Rice, and the caretaker, Mr R. McKinley. Mention was also made of the benefits which summer golf would derive through the passing of tho Daylight Saying Bill. It is proposed to commence summer golf immediately and members are urged to take full advantage of xhe long summer evenings. The links will be kept in first-cass condition. Members are asked to note that the club’s annual meeting will take place in Duigan’s rooms on Tuesday, November 22, when a full attendance is re quested.
