SUMMER SPORTS
ACTIVITY AT ARAMOHO TENNIS, CROQUET AND SWIMMING The season for swimming, croquet and tennis has opened at the Aramoho School, where splendid facilities for these out-door sports exist An excellent croquet lawn has been laid down at the school, and this was officially opened on Saturday by Mr P. H. Smith, who, until recently, was chairman of the School Oommittee. Tho two tennis courts were opened for *he season’s play by Mr A. E. Halligan, r.hc present chairman, who mentioned that the Aramoho School had produced the two Brownlies for New Zealand football, and said there was no reason why it should not produce a Wilding or a Betty Nuthall. The school baths were opened by Mr Smith. Afternoon tea was dispensed, and an enjoyable time spent in swimming, croquet and tennis. Mr A. Pepper, secretary of the school committee, deserves credit for the time and work he has put in to make the school the civic centre it is fast becoming.
