SCHOLARS’ BOUTS WANGANUI COLLEGIATE SCHOOL. The finals of the boxing contests of the Wanganui Collegiate School were held iu the School gymnasium on Saturday evening. The bouts throughout were of an interesting description aud keenly contested. The juO'Jt uUr bouts of tho evening wure tho middle-weight division between Armstrong and Giesea, and tho light-weight contest between Peacock xua. and Rainbow. Peacock was adjudged the most scientific boxer of the evening. The results are as follows: Paper-weight.—Burns beat Boyes. Fly-weighu—Cowie beat Groves. Bantain-vv eight.—Hogg beat Winlove. Feather-weight. Hamilton beat White. Light-weight. Peacock ma. beat Rainbow. Middle-weight.—Armstrong beat Giesen. Heavy-weight.—Bunny beat Macfarlane. The officials were: Referee, Mr T. P. Souter; judges, Messrs F. C. Atkinson and A. G. Mackay. At tho conclusion of the tournament the headmaster, the Rev. C. F. Pierce, presented the trophies to the winners.

CONDITIONAL AGREEMENT WITH UZCUDUN. (A. & N.Z.) NEW YORK, Nov. 5. It is understood that Jack Dempsey has conditionally agreed to box Uzcudun. Details and date are still undetermined.
