Early yesterday morning Mr Gardiner, a resident of Lower Hutt, discovered the body of a man amongst some scrub in a paddock in Taita Gorge with his throat cut from ear to« ear. The body was removed to the morgue. Deceased was about 30 years of age, and the name of F. W. Wheeler appears on his clothing. FIRE DISCOVERED ON COASTAL VESSEL AUCKLAND, Nov. 7. The body of Peter Brown, agcid) about 72 was found floating in the river. He left the boardinghouse, where he spent the night, early in the morning and the body was noticed in the river about 10.30, and recovered a few miles down by a launch.
