“UNFIT FOR BABIES"

NEW MILK REGULATIONS. More stringent regulations regarding the labelling of condenser] milk, are being issued by the Health Minister in Britain. “Three years ago,” said a health worker recently, “The Minister realised that a check was required on the unlimited use of condensed skimmed milk for infants, and made an order that a label ‘Unfit for babies’ should be placed on each tin. 4 ‘ This provision, however, has not had the effect anticipated. The new regulations insist on the words 4 Unfit for babies’ being printed the outside of the wrapper as well as on tho label attached to tho tin.” THE LATEST A CLUB OF SNAKE EATERS. The formation of a club—the Den of Rattlers—featured the closing of a recent nature study class of the Pennsylvania State College. Eligibility to tho club is confined to persons who have eaten rattlesnake flesh. The club started with almost 30 members. The class, largely comprising women who teach nature study, camped in Stone Valley in the Seven Mountains, where several rattlers were caught. The snakes were dressed, and eligibility to membership was made contingent on eating some of the fricassed “dainty.” The club 'inembership now comprises 10 States, and it is planned to take in new members each year

Among the new by-laws for motor omnibuses in Lanarkshire is one which specifies that a person is forbidden to enter an omnibus if the condition of his clothing is such that it may reasonably be expected to soil or injure the linings oreushions of the vehicle or the clothing of other passengers.
