TROWERN WINS HIS OPPONENT DISQUALIFIED THE “RABBIT-KILLER” PUNCH Received Nov. 5, 1250 a.m. (A. & N.Z.) SYDNEY, Nov. 4. At the Newcastle Stadium Reg. Trowern (9.13) defeated Jimmy Pearce (10.4) in sixteen rounds. Half-way through the sixteenth round Pearce was disqualified for using the rabbit-killer punch. He was several times warned and when he again offended the referee »ook action. The contest was fast and clever and Trowern was ahead on points when his opponent was disqualified. Two Bouts. At Leichardt Stadium Kiely (11.21) outpointed Lackie McDonald (11.4) in 15 rounds. Kiely outboxed the New Zealander almost throughout the fight. His long range punches were not suitable for the New Zealander’s style. McDonald made a great effort to make up the leeway in the concluding rounds, but Kiely had too big a margin and won comfortably. . At Sydney Stadium Tiger Payne 1 knocked oyi Charlie Chetwynd in the tenth round. Payne had the advantage from the start and with a whirlwind attack, finished his opponent.
