SWIMMING
FOR SCHOOL CHILDREN LIFE-SAVING CERTIFICATE. DOMINION SOCIETY’S TEST. (Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. 2. The New Zealand executive of the Royal Life-Saving Society agreed last evening that a certificate should be provided for school children, the test to be a fifty yards swim by backstroke, using the legs only. In addition to this test pupils shall dive from the surface and recover objects in five feet of water.
