PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH [ Special “ Chronicle ” Service. ] The Moderator, the Rev. Mclvor, presided over a meeting of the Presbyterian Church, Bulls (which includes Carnarvon, Parewanui and Raumai). The reports read were: Kirk session (Mr Stewart), Sunday school (Mrs Stevenson), Bible Class (Mrs j. Mclntosh), the P.W.M.U. (Mrs Stevenson), Busy Bees (Mrs McGregor), Ladies’ Guild (Mrs Stevenson), and Maori Mission Birthday League (Mrs Mclntosh). The Moderator complimented the speakers on the able manner in which the reports were presented, all reports, also balance sheets, being clearly set out. Managers were elected as follows: — Mesdames Stevenson, Mclntosh, McGregor, and R. Carter, Messrs Melhuish (Flock House), Ronald John (Flock House), Guy (Raumai), Webby (Carnarvon), Amon (Parewanui), McGregor, Campion and Carter. Votes of thanks were accorded to the Sunday school teachers, Bible Class teachers, the P.W.M.U., Ladies’ Guild, Busy Bees, and M.M.8.L., the secretary, managers, kirk session, the organist (Miss Dalziel), Mrs Scott (Carnarvon), Mrs McKenzie and Miss Brookie (Parewanui), Miss Guy (Raumai), Miss Campbell (Flock House), and the Moderator. Greetings were sent to the Rev. Ireland, Mrs Ireland and “Wee Geordie.” Supper followed and the meeting concluded with the Benediction. GENERAL NEWS vh caxurday next the Bulls Rugby seniors meet Rata on the Bulls Domain, A number of well known Bulls people are in Palmerston Hospital at present, including Miss M. Guinan, and Messrs W. Kearney, A. W. McDonell, Charles Jenkins, “Dick” Richards. Yesterday’s report was that all were making satisfactory progress. Bulls seniors started out for Ohingaiti on Saturday, but owing to a mishap to one of the cars at Rata, the match had to be postponed, and the game will have to be played at some future date.

Miss Fair has an exceptional opportunity for an actress barely in her twenties, and predictions are made that she will scale the heights of motion picture fame as did Gloria, Leatrice Joy, Bebe Daniels, Wallace Reid, Rod La Rocque and others.

MEN’S SOCIETY. A meeting of the Chnrch of England Men’s Society organised by Bro. G. W. Drewitt (secretary Bulls branch) was held at Bulls on Friday. Some twenty members from the branches of Palmerston North, Wanganui, Ararnoho and Bulls were present The meeting was to discuss the re-organisation of the society and to assist the local members of the committee set up by the Wanganui Conference in drawing up a scheme to put before the committee when it meets in Wellington j shortly. Rev. H. E. Jones was elected chairman and Bro. G. W. Drewitt secretary. Many important discussions took place and useful proposals and suggestions were recommended to the committee. The gathering dispersed after refreshments provided by the Bulls branch.
