BUSY IN CHRISTCHURCH SUBURBAN STORES RANSACKED [1 er Press Association.] CHRISTCHURCH, June 13. Thieves broke into G. W. Smith’: store in Opawa Road last night, an< stole a quantity of shirts, collars, rugs socks and cigarettes. It was a stormy night, and the thie. was undisturbed. An attempt to fqrct the lock with a jemmy failed, and th( robber then used the jemmy to smasl the glass panel of the door, by whicl entry was made. No cash was left in the shop by th< owner, who has had a previous expert ence of burglaries. Just a year agt thieves broke into his residence am stole between £3O and £4O.
