TRIBESMEN ROUTED INDIAN FRONTIER UNBEST. (A. & N.Z.) DELHI, June 12. A revival of tribal unrest on the North Indian frontier, near Peshawar. was successfully quelled by the bombing operations of the Royal Air Force. Raiding tribesmen, 1500 strong, from inrth of the Kabul River, crossed the frontier and attacked the Mahmand Torts held by tribes friendly to Brit, lin. Nineteen ’planes made attacks during four days on the hostile tribes, inflicting many casualties and creating an excellent moral effect. The achievement is regarded as magnificent, in view of the fact that the temperature was over 110 degrees. This was the first attack in eight years on frontier posts in the Peshawur district.
