NEW SCHOLARSHIPS

UNIVERSITY STUDY AMERICAN AND ENGLISH SEATS OF LEARNING. (By Radio). RUGBY, May 20. A. large sum, believed to be about £150,00, has been left by Lady Henry, who died in London on May 10, to the English and American Universities. Oxford and Cambridge and Yale and Harvard arc the universities mentioned, and the idea is to establish scholarships in each country which will be open to students from both countries. The scholarships are to bo open to either man or woman, to Brittish students anxious to graduate at Harvard or Yale, or Americans wishing to go to Oxford or Cambridge. Lady Henry’s father was Leonard Lewisohn, the American copper magnate. In 1892 she married Sir Charles Henry, who was a Liberal member of the British Parliament for some time before his death.
