FLIGHT FROM NEWFOUNDLAND THE MARQUIS DE PINEDO TAKES OFF Received May 22, 7 p.m. (A. & N.Z.) NEW YORK, May 21. Telegrams from Trepasscy (Newfoundland) report that the Marquis de Pinedo planned to depart at sunset on his 1600 mile flight over the Atlantic to the Azores. He expects that about 14 hours will be required for the flight in the idarkness. It is reported that ten pounds of first class mail at a charge of 60 cents a letter was placed aboard the ’plane to be mailed in Europe. Trepassey is gaily decorated with a medley of bunting, and flags are flying from each fisherman’s cottage.
