HEAVY DAMAGES
CLAIM ON CAR DRIVER MOTOR-CYCLIST’S INJURIES. [Per Press Association.] AUCKLAND, May 29. A special jury was empannellcd today to determine the responsibility for a collision in Fanshawe Street, on November 2d between a motor-car and a motor-cycle with a side-car. It is not often that a man with a fractured skull recovers, but Clement Archibald Hulse is alive to support the claim for £750 general damages and other sums by way of special damages amounting to £276, from Francis Alexander Blayney (the car driver). The basis of the claim is that Blayney’s negligent driving caused the collision. This the defendant denies, making a counter allegation of negligence.
